Love at first sight in the romantic novel prize

few days ago I was reading Captives of fate of Mary Jo Putna yy read the following:

"As I watched the slender figure of the girl and her black hair tangled, Adrian felt something dark and dangerous stirring in the depths of his being. The desired with the same vehemence that gripped him when he was fighting for his life. (...) However, all efforts to get rid of this sudden attraction were futile. That girl named Meriel was special. And the word that haunted the mind while away was invincible. "

was the second time I saw Adrian Meriel (although he did not recall having seen before) and you feel atraidísimo for it, you know is special ... A sight, love at first sight , come on. I know it's own resource of romance, almost a condition sine qua non , but I repatea, I think a topic more. Perhaps I am a skeptic on love, but I have never have believed this from the crush and attractions snapshots, at most sexual desire, but not that kind of infatuation fulminant attacks so compelling to both players ... Regrettably p oquísimos romantic books I've read where the reader attends to the process of falling in love, understand why they are attracted to both ...

What do you think the rest? "I like a cliché, a necessary and unavoidable in the romantic novel? U "seems more plausible and I prefer a gradual infatuation?
